kios vx45 Essay: The electric scooter that lithium carbide electric scooters

Kios is a new importer of quality Chinese scooters.
Here the peculiarities of their range of scooters:
- lithium phosphate batteries (no harmful product and very good power to weight ratio)
- Light: less than 100kg
- you keep the same power throughout the load
- brushless motor 2000W and 2500W with booster
- no memory effect, when you reload you want.

We therefore tested the VX kios 45 for one hour in central Paris and we took the opportunity to do a little comparison with the reference "peugeot Scoot'elec.

Design and finishing equipment
first contact with kios, it is clear that the chassis and body are common to many thermal from China. Finishing therefore suffers from a few small flaws, mismatched plastic, visible screws ... but nothing really bad!
Listed equipment is a good surprise, we have:
- 2 bag hooks
- an empty pocket
- 1 locker under the seat that can hold a jet and a combination of rain
- grab handles good equipped a comfortable backrest
- 2 legs (lateral and central)

First laps
The 10-inch wheels give a very good handling kios which is awesome when you have to go between the cars, the game is cons a strong reaction from the front.
To start the scooter, just turn the key and speed. We do not feel
latency startup and acceleration is pretty good for a speed meter of 55km / h in a straight line.
The engine is very quiet even at startup only a small hissing sound. Braking is effective with a brake with front disc and drum brake at the rear.
The low-speed maneuvers are very easy because the kios shows only 98 kg on the scales a feat for an electric scooter!

Ribs, Duo, Battery
To test our side, we walked up the Rue St. Jacques and Rue Jeanne d'Arc which are 2 beautiful beaches near the Pantheon. The boot is quite sharp and the scooter reaches 50km / h without much difficulty.
Duet, the reactions of the scooter are relatively dry (a bit precarious comfort for the passenger) and the coast does not scare him because he gets into boost mode at 50km / h also.
I'm 1m78 and front and rear (dual mode), there is plenty of room unlike other scooters (IO E-Scooter and Max like). The saddle is wide and long that can be comfortable and secure even a duet. The grab handles are well designed and the small increases comfort backrest portion which is slightly altered by dry suspensions. Autonomy announced
is 40 to 70km in urban use.
Personally, I used the scooter to 13km and the gauge has not budged an inch.

Kios VX 45 vs Peugeot Scoot'elec
With Remdo, we compared kios the last reference: peugeot Scoot'elec.
At startup, the Scoot'elec is livelier than the kios, won the short distance to allow Scoot'elec to stay ahead. Hill is a different story is always the keenest Scoot'elec start kios but with a more powerful engine catches up peugeot, posting a top speed max.

In Brief
The kios is a great electric scooter for the Chinese and very good value for money.
level performance, it is almost as good as the Peugeot Scoot'elec.
The motor is silent and can not feels almost no lag at startup.
Acceleration is easily measurable in contrast to other models.
Lightness and 10-inch wheels make this scooter an ideal machine for the city and to get through.
It is basically very easy to learn, and of course it's a real pleasure as quiet operation. Now remains to see the reliability of all time ...
